When paparazzi claim that Miley Cyrus takes it all off, they’re usually referring to her clothes, but the statement applies to her hair as well. Her haircuts seem be getting shorter and edgier as time goes on, and her latest hair do is the shortest of the all. One media outlet actually claimed she’d shaved her head, which was basically untrue, though it may have looked that way from a distance.
Miley debuted this new look in Los Angeles, and photos show her sporting boyish garb, with suspender style pants and a cute white crop top. The haircut itself is short and choppy, and vaguely reminiscent of the Dorothy Hamill, Wedge. The debut of this style, by figure skater, Hamill in the 1976 Olympics, started a stampede to the salons. It seemed everyone wanted the short swingy style, and since everything old is new again, now Miley Cyrus 2020 with a short hairstyle and edgy new haircut for 2020.
Other less flattering hairstyle comparisons have been made to Jim Carrey‘s character on the movie Dumb and Dumber. Regardless of who the cut reminds you of, it’s hard to go wrong when you have a face like Miley’s.
It’s interesting to see the evolution of Miley’s hair styles over the year. Starting out as Disney channel cutie in 2006, she’s since morphed into a seductress, with a live demonstration of twerking on MTV’s 2013 Awards show. Since then Miley has sported everything from chin length bobs, to bangs and pixie cut every color from red to gold, and as we mentioned before shorter and shorter hair cuts up to the current boyish buzz. It’s hard to predict what direction this fearless fashionista will take next. But we’ll be sure to keep an eye on her, and so will the rest of the world.
